EmailXtender is a centralized data storage and retrieval system that makes enterprise email easier to administer and use.
It automatically moves data off the email message server and into the storage system, capturing and indexing all incoming and outgoing emails. Additionally, Instant Messages (IM) can also be captured and stored within the EmailXtender system. EmailXtender provides fast access to stored emails and IM messages, enables quick email restoration after virus attacks, and helps reduce server backup time.
EmailXaminer – The Compliance Manager
EmailXaminer, a member of the LEGATO Messaging suite of products, helps companies monitor email content to ensure compliance with government regulations and corporate policies.
EmailXaminer automates and optimizes supervisory activity, providing a cost-effective and easy-to-use means of complying with NASD Rules 3010 and 3110, as well as the means for an organization in any industry to effectively monitor employee communications. Using EmailXaminer, supervisors can quickly monitor inbound and outbound communications, improving their productivity, while reducing potential liability.
EmailXtender Archive Edition periodically polls the message server and moves messages to the EmailXtender archival database. The messages are full-text indexed, duplicates are removed, and the data is compressed. Users maintain access to messages through shortcuts that appear in their inbox as regular email messages.
Disaster Recovery
LEGATO Replistor provides a reliable lo-cost solution for business continuance, disaster data recovery, data migration, and centralized backup. An exact copy of each replicated file is instantly available on the targeted systems, either locally or remotely. Replistor can be configured to fail over the source system and move network information to the target system if the source system fails. This preserves the network connections from the client to the server as well as the data in the event of server failures.

DX 2000’s remote procedure call (RPC) connector hides the storage location of sensitive files managed by AX. Users who have the appropriate permissions granted by AX can retrieve their relevant documents; however, the DX 2000 RPC connector never exposes the actual file location. Sensitive information is safely protected from unnecessary intrusion, modification, or theft.

Create a Virtual Optical Storage Pool
ArcX aggregates optical devices and media into a virtual storage pool and presents this pool to end users as a single drive letter or network share. The product enables end users to easily meet data retention and compliance requirements using the latest write once and rewritable optical technologies (ProDATA, UDO, CD, DVD, and MO). In addition, ArcX’s file spanning feature ensures that even the largest files can be stored across multiple pieces4 of optical media.

In document capture, scanned images are stored for later retrieval, so the focus is on efficient scanning, accurate image clean up, and automated indexing. In data capture, images are frequently discarded and only the extracted data is kept, so the focus is on versatile and accurate recognition features (OCR – machine print; ICR -handwriting; OMR check marks; and bar codes).
